One Of The Best Ways To Save A Marriage Is To Remove Complacency

The problem is that marriage changes the attitudes of some people. Often people think they have a free ticket to do what they choose without regard of their spouse. This can often lead to the breakdown of a relationship and only then does the spouse begin to find ways to save a marriage.

It’s good to hear of people changing to save a marriage, at least they are finally making an effort. But why let it get to that stage in the first place? Why jeopardize a marriage? Often a marriage breaks down unintentionally. Spouses think that now that the chase is over and they’ve found a mate for life, they can finally relax and do what they want.

It’s a fact that a larger proportion of married couples are overweight than non-married couples. Why is it that we choose to pay less attention to our appearances after marriage? It’s common for married couples to look a little scruffy and unkempt after all there’s no need to go through all the hassle of trying to look fit and good anymore, there’s no one to impress.

Just because the chase is over, it shouldn’t mean that you can just let yourself go completely. After all, wouldn’t you much prefer if your spouse continued looking the way they did before marriage? However this is still only a minor problem compared to the real issue. The real issue is that often spouses not only let themselves go, they let go of the relationship. By that I mean they stop doing the things they used to do, such as being romantic and affectionate and even saying ‘I love you.’
